Every gift matters—and we want as much of it as possible to reach the children directly. All gifts given through Stripe are securely collected and then sent directly to James (Vicent Katerega) in Uganda via mobile money in his local currency (UGX). While we are working to partner with a registered nonprofit for official tax receipts, TO BE CLEAR, until then, your gifts are not tax deductible.
Unless you send your gift direct via Mobile Money, I (Sue Ramson) am collecting payments into a specified Momo personal account I've set up, batching, and then transferring to James directly. I will give oversight to ensure checks and balances are in place, every gift is tracked, stewarded with care, and used only to provide food, clothing, shelter, and a future filled with hope. After standard platform and exchange fees, ALL of your donation will go straight to help the children. Reach out if you have questions.
PHASE ONE GOAL: $15,000
PHASE TWO GOAL: $12,000
PHASE ONE GOAL is to build up a 3-month reserve of "urgent needs" to mitigate the weekly "crisis" James and team face to simply feed and clothe the children. In addition, to help provide a safe, sanitary living environment, basic medical supplies, to include beds / frames to put up mosquito nets to treat/prevent malaria, guidance to help the "home" become a legally registered orphanage, and basic education supplies (books, paper, pens, etc).
PHASE TWO GOAL is to help the children pay the registration fees to attend school, maintain "essentials" and expand the housing to better accommodate a more functional "dormitory" type separation of boys and girls.
Thank you, family and friends, for being a bridge of love and provision to these precious children.
